lsoflurane should be administered through an accurately calibrated evaporator in a suitable anesthesia circuit, as anesthesia levels can be changed quickly and easily. lsoflurane can be given in oxygen or in a mixture of oxygen and laughing gas. lsoflurane can be used in combination with drugs commonly used in veterinary anesthetic regimens for premedication, induction and analgesia. The values of the MAC (minimum alveolar concentration) in oxygen proposed below or the median effective dose ED50 for the target species should be used only as a guide.
